- 01Life coaching is a forward-focused, solution-oriented process designed to help you gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change in your life and career. Unlike therapy, which often explores the past, life coaching is centred on where you are now and where you want to go. Through a collaborative partnership with your coach, you get dedicated time and space to focus on what you truly want — and the tools, strategies, and accountability to help you get there. Life coaching is for anyone ready to stop settling and start living with more purpose, confidence, and direction.
- 02My approach is warm, honest, results-oriented and grounded in psychology. Sessions are collaborative and client-led — meaning you set the agenda, and I help you explore and move forward. I draw on a range of evidence-based tools and frameworks including positive psychology, Cognitive Behavioural techniques and the Co-Active coaching model. With a BSc in Psychology and over 16 years of coaching experience, I bring both academic grounding and real-world insight to every session.

- 04This is one of the most common questions people ask. Counselling and therapy typically focus on diagnosing and healing psychological conditions, often by exploring past experiences and trauma. A therapist or counsellor is generally positioned as the clinical expert. Coaching is different. It focuses on the present and future, is goal and action oriented, and treats the client and coach as equal partners. Coaching is not a substitute for mental health treatment, but it is a powerful tool for people who are functioning well and want to grow, shift unhelpful patterns, or create significant change in their lives.

- 06This varies from person to person depending on your goals and circumstances. Some clients come for a focused block of sessions around a specific challenge or transition, while others choose to work with me on an ongoing basis for continued growth and accountability. Most clients start to notice meaningful shifts within the first few sessions. I will work with you to figure out a pace and structure that suits your lifestyle and goals.
- 07Yes. I work with both private individuals and corporate clients, offering tailored coaching and personal development workshops for teams and organisations. Past clients include Oranga Tamariki, Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, and a range of other New Zealand businesses.
